On these pages you will find examples of some of the boats I build including the Whitehall rowing skiff and the Francois Vivier designed Morbic 12 as well as other information about the repair, restoration and maintenance of wooden boats which I carry out from my workshop in Sweffling, Suffolk.

Adrian Donovan trained at the IBTC, (International Boatbuilders Training College) having previously enjoyed a career at sea which included the merchant navy, skipper on round the world racing yachts and as captain of a superyacht!

Whitehall Rowing Skiffs
There have been two Whitehall rowing skiffs built by Adrian, and they are about as geographically spread in the UK as it is possible to be. One is in the Solent, the other is on the Isle of Mull! more >>
Folkboat Viking Bird
Many will have seen Viking Bird in the pages of Classic Boat. She was runner-up in the CB Restoration of the Year in 2010, and is now happily afloat on the River Orwell. more >>

'Cadfael' is a stunning boat, and all the more amazing considering she was built in marine ply from a (modified) Francois Vivier kit!
